The One Where Little Sister Will Freak Out
My family, is, well, a family of nerds.
Two Nerd Parents (My father, who unwisely let us look at his yearbook, has been teased for being the head of the math group)
Though, when I was growing up, and stuck watching PBS, and seeing Tom Baker being chased around by space mummies, he would walk around shaking his head and talk aloud as to the fact that he never could understand why I liked Doctor Who, as it was so cheesy.
This coming from the man who watched a TV show where you would have women, colored green, dancing around, you had episodes where you had space hippies and an Alien playing a harpsicord, and finally, the words “Teach me about this thing called earth love” was uttered more than once.
Pot.
Kettle.
Black.
Anywho, the little sister has fallen in love with Doctor Who. At first I thought it was because of the stellar story lines and excellent history of the show.
But No.
It was David Tennant.
Guess what is on her laptop wallpaper?
David Tennant.
So, I also read that there is much discussion about the next Batman bad guy, who is rumored to be the riddler, and who will play him.
Johnny Depp?
David Tennant?
Already, the camps are forming on this one… So here’s to you little sister.
Come on. Your little sister will love him in that movie too, if it ever happens. Sounds like to me that there won’t be another Batman movie.
I know Marion Cotillard got high acclaim for her role as Edith Piaf in “La vie en rose”, but seriously, it made me not like her. Or Edith Piaf, either, come to think of it (although I still love her music). I wonder who she’ll play in the next Batman?
PS The Riddler isn’t nearly as freaky as the Joker–especially Heath Ledger as the Joker. Talk about psychopath…
I love Dr. Who too as you know… but I always root for Johnny.
