As I was passively moving onto the comments, I saw a link to this image
Which made me then start laughing/crying through the archives of this web comic (new most favorite) when I found this comic
While this comic was very cute, it also made me think. I’m in the midst of redefining myself, which I think most people need to do throughout life. This has included getting a beard, and changing priorities, and trying to decide what to do with life.
I was recently asked if I was still blogging. I don’t know. Honestly, it sometimes is such a chore to put words down onto the computer, to craft words. I enjoy the act of writing, but how does it pan out to all my other work and priorities.
I have been accused of neglgecting the blog, so here’s a little love:
It seems like the media today is obsessed with taking my childhood. recreating bits and pieces of it, and making more money off of it. Battlestar Galactica, Transformers the Movie, Batman Rebooted, Return to Xanadu – Electric Booglau, and Saul of the Mole Men. I’m not saying this is bad (in fact, I kind of like Saul of the Mole Men), but its kinda like this wierd sense of Deja-Vu. (anyone else notice this?)
I recently came across a video by a band called “No More Kings” called Sweep The Leg, which reminds me once again of my childhood.
This time, it’s directed by the guy who was “Johnny” in the Karate Kid movies. It shows the actor who played Johnny and the actors who played the goons all hanging out in a trailer park, whatching the Karate Kid over and over. Eventually you get to see what could have happened. Its a bit slow at the beginning, but it is worth it.
Probably my favorite line: I was super hero, king of 1985, I showed No Mercy, I was always Cobra Kai
