Words of Wisdom
As I continue to read A Single Thought I laugh, but I also found some jewels in articles (And I’m still not done). It’s amazing since I’ve noticed that they seem to reference Jane Austin alot, and for the, what, three of you who read this weblog, you know I have issues with Pride and Predjudice and Sense and Sensibility. My main issue is that they are undiluted chick flick, right down to their goey core 😉 Oh, and I think Mr. Collins (and that wave of his) are awesome (this is in *no* way, a indication that I watched anything Jane Austin, because, I’m not admitting to that. Ever.)
Anyways, the two women over at Single Thought Quoted Helen Fielding, in what I can say, I feel lately.
Possibly one of the greatest quotes (at least in the opinion of these
authors) regarding love and rejection comes from Helen Fielding, author of
Bridget Jones. Diary. “When someone leaves you, apart from missing them,
apart from the fact that the whole little world you’ve created together
collapses, and that everything you see or do reminds you of them, the
worst is the thought that they tried you out and, in the end, the whole
sum of parts which adds up to you got stamped REJECT by the one you love.
How can you not be left with the personal confidence of a passed-over
British Rail sandwich?”
All this insight, just from looking for a article on Munch-n-Mingles.
