In a past life (approx 3 years ago) I was an Apprentice Chocolatier. I have used exactly that temperer you are showing. And let me just say it brings great happiness. If you need suggestions on what to make with it, the answer is everything. Dip everything. Do everything. But never ever lick the bowl clean. When they say that water is bad for chocolate, trust me, its very very bad for chocolate. I have seen one drip of water in a bowl ruin 10 lbs of chocolate. Be sure to make homemade caramel, wrap it around a marshmallow, and dip it in chocolate. Or just dip peeps, lots and lots of peeps. Trust me. its good.

If you are going to buy that extravegant kitchen tool, then you need to make your family some Christmas goodies. Don’t forget to cook up some peanut brittle for your family as well.

EA: I’m taking notes… Peeps in Chocolate? I like peeps. I like Chocolate. But that seems almost going too far… Any other suggestions? 🙂

Panini: What, talking about chocolate, or that girls like chocolate? 🙂

K@: Rub it in! Heh. Oh. Sweet, sweet chocolate. You have any suggestions? (Like don’t ever start?)

Dad: No. This thing doesn’t do peanut brittle. Only chocolate.

Juli: Let me get the Temperer first

Going too far? Are you crazy? There is no such thing as going too far! My other favorite recipe (and really, there are hundreds) is dipping Peanut Butter Combos in chocolate. Remember combos? Only the peanut butter stuffed ones are good in chocolate, trust me on this. Do NOT under any circumstances attempt to eat the pizza flavored ones. Its just not worth it.

Ok, it’s official. I’m buying one.

But where does one get the chocolate?

I love the ornaments, the shopping (not the day before, mind you), the music, the books, the special flavors of hot chocolate, the eggnog…you get the idea. You might be wondering if I have sufficient Christmas “schwag” (if I may so borrow Chris’s
