Livin it One Day at A Time

Who ever knew that buying a house would be this much stress.

And this much appliance lust.

Which, if you know me, means I spent all day Saturday looking up reviews on all my appliances.

Because they will cost so much

And I’m still not sure they will fit.

In other exciting news. I have packed, count them, two boxes. Pretty proud of that actually.. I’m more of the guy who packs the night before, until turns into the day of the move.

Oh. and I found my keys.

Feeling fancy free… And I forget the rest of the song.

So here I am, making lists.

Because, if there is something I excel at, it’s making lists. Though, at this point I really need to make a list of my lists. To keep track of my lists.

Back to my lists.. I am trying to figure out what I will need for the new Casa.

Well..

INTERNET (Can’t go without that)
Power
Water
TV
Internet
Appliances

Other than that, I’ll just do what other people do. Expand my collection of stuff till I have enough stuff to have an overfull house.

Which, with all those pinball machines. Won’t be hard to do..

So. I’m making a list

Blinds
Step ladder
Kick butt home theater system

And for whatever reason, I end up on ebay. And don’t ask me how, but I found this.

It’s a Bumper CAR! oh.. Ebay, how much I love you.

And, I’m now stuck on finding myself a bumper car, because, you know.. Every new house needs it’s own bumper car….

Plus, it will save on gas. That’s important.

For those of you, who use Internet Explorer (and oh, I pity those of you who have not converted unto Firefox), the sidebar should be working.

So, that means it’s time for me to upgrade the blog software again!

Well sometime.

When I’ve moved.

I’m also paranoid that I’m not going to have Internet at the house. And for someone like me, that can be very bad. Internet access withdrawl? I’ll go and live at a Starbucks, or a Taco Johns to satisfy my craving. Not addicted. Nope. Not I.

I’ll save the fridge, washer and dryer for some other time.. Can’t overwhelm people all at once.

Hmmm… With all this appliance lust, I better start using them…

So.

Casa De Chris is looking, well, like a house.

To give some background.. I live in an apartment currently. Some like to call it a dungeon, others just like to call it my man cave.. But recently I got the “Buy a house” bug again, and went looking.

My Realtor, Joe Prunty went with me as I checked out house after house.

After house.

I do think he figures I was crazy. I would look around a house, then go running into the basement.

Because, being the computer nerd I am, I have to live in the basement, and eat Ho-Ho’s and Hot Pockets.

Wait.

That’s not why I was looking.

In reality, I could do without the house.. Part of me, just doesn’t want to deal with all the work that involves getting a house. Alas, my two hobbies, Pinball and Home theater, are not conducive to living in a apartment. So, I was scoping out the basement at each house.

Then I found the little spec house. My own little spec of suburbia. It’s nice, but in reality, I’m just concerned about three things

1) My kitchen. Ohhh, gonna have a Dual Fuel Range, an Awesome Fridge, and some of the best washer and dryers I can find (Really, really thinking of getting a fridgidare front loader). Also going for the oval pot holder thingy, and lots and lots of outlets.
2) Basement room to put my pinball machines in. And the MAME Cabinet, and the video games. I think with the video games, I’m up to like 16 Pinball machines and 7 Video games. Ohh, My family will enjoy moving me.
3) Basement room for My Kick Butt Home Theater. Well. Initially, it won’t be that kick butt.. But I’m trying to figure a way to ceiling mount the projecter, then do some decorating. Like getting a guitar wall mount for my Rock Band guitar. You know, the non obsessive stuff.
