It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

You know, I promised I’d never talk about Pride and Prejudice again, but, I have to.

Not because I want to, but because I have to.

I was over at a old roommate’s house. He had called to let me know there would be games and desert at his casa so I proceeded to go over.

He had mentioned his sister would be there, and she had friends. I proceed to go over. I then found out that I was the only single male.

Final breakdown
Single Men: Me
Single Women: His Sister, her two friends, and two girls from the stake.

Guy to girl ratio: 1:5

So of course, I enjoy the odds. I mean, how often can I use my mad skills with the ladies?

We ended up playing a weird dictionary card game. After a bit of time playing that game (I think it was, well, FOREVER) we started to play some Cranium.

Now for those of you who don’t know me, I love me some Cranium. To be more specific, I love me some Star Performer Cranium.

So, at the end of the game, a card comes out that has a garden on it, the question asks “Is it French or is it English”. From there the fact that it looks like the gardens from Pride and Prejudice comes up.

Then the girls start talking about the different versions of Pride and Prejudice, the Kira Knightly Version, the A&E version, the BBC version, and the Horror Version.

At this point, the eyes are glazing over, the brain is shutting down. Every one of the girls was talking about the film, and quoting the very beginning of the film.

Do you girls watch this film during the times they’d separate the girls and boys in PE in school? I’m just trying to decide where you all get a chance to watch *every* version of this book/film/TV series/cartoon/source of endless dancing.

You know, I don’t even remember where I was going from here. All I have to say is that it seems like this series is after me. I run, and I run, and I ignore. Eventually I was able to derail all the girls into a discussion about Harry Potter.

But that is another story…..
