Because talking hats make me happy
I’ve decided I have another super power.
Can I fly? No. Can I see through solid objects? No. Can I break dance? No, but I can do “The Robot” if that counts…..
I can find really bad TV shows, and fall in love with them. It’s the stuff of my dreams, and probably every sane person’s nightmares (and maybe the source of a few of my own..)
If I have a weakness, it’s really bad Saturday morning kids shows. They have to be *really* bad. Incidentally, they all seem to be made by Sid and Marty Krofft.
I’ve seen a compilation of parts, as well as the 8 minute intro to this show, and now I think I’ll have to buy the DVD.
Mark eventually escapes the evil hats with the help of Weenie the Genie (Billie Hayes, also known as WitchiePoo from HR Pufnstuf). Weenie is kind of extra scary, in that it’s a girl, playing a boy genie, named Weenie. WHERE DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS STUFF? They then join up with the good hats, and have some psychedelic adventures. I understand some of those include trying to cross the Shampoo River and the blind date between HooDoo and WitchiePoo (some cross pollination of shows I guess).
Needless to say, I must have this show. I think once I get settled in, I’ll see what Amazon.com can do for me. I think I’m in love with yet another TV show.
I’ve found some cool information, including the following quote by Marty Krofft, speaking about taking Acid ” I’m no goody two-shoes, but you can’t create this stuff stoned.” Yes Mr. Krofft….. I think what he meant to say is if you take all the drugs he was taking (including some scratch-n-sniff stickers) and the Acid, then it’s to much, because you are Dead in the morgue.

Next, I’m going to have to research a TV show called “The New Zoo Revue”.
Aren’t ya’ll so happy I post this stuff? I’m sure it will make it’s way into a Simpsons, Family Guy or American Dad. (Then you shall thank me!)
Oh, and I came to the conclusion last night. If I don’t end up with someone at least half normal, my kids are gonna be a little off kilter 🙂

[…] This show started with an animated beginning that looks to have been stollen from the likes of The Kroft brothers (Who made such Great shows as HR Puf-N-Stuf, Lidsville, and Land of the Lost *As a side note, if you garage sale, find one of these lunch boxes, let me know. Please*). […]
