Como estas? Gracias for the letters, especially Dad for providing me with the baseball news (go astros!) I guess my last letter made it sound like I was a little down, yeah right!! Alot can be lost in the written word! Well I am really enjoying my experiences again. Spanish is coming along well, I taught most of the second lesson is Spanish yesterday. My comp is struggling a little with the language. Elder Spricher and I are getting along great, we are teaching awesome together. In the TRC, one of the teachers told us that we were feeding off of each other well, which doesn’t happen often in the MTC. I have already learned so much more about the gospel, and now I am getting pretty comfortable teaching. Dad, have you seen the recent church news. It has an article about President Hinckley visiting Taiwann, and it has Phillip Ho in the article and a picture. I am sure that you have already seen it. Also I have seen and talked to Presdient Jackson quite a few times. He seems to think that I am a pretty special guy. Last week we had L Lionel Kendrich from the Seventy speak to us. He was pretty good, he spoke about recieving Personal Witness and Testimony.
SUnday was Fast Sunday, it was really tough. The whole day I started feeling dizzy and sick, the thing I needed most was a drink of water. Fasting is rough sometimes (a true 24 hour fast) but we need to show our physical bodies who is boss! So how is Shadowfax doing? Does she miss me? I sure miss her. WHenever I hear a bird chirrpping, I think of her, in fact I think I miss her more than
I miss anyone else. Hahaha,, Jk. So I guess that I better start wrapping up.
Remember to finish the book of Mormon before the end of the year like President Hinckley told us to, and tell everyone to STEP up the letter writing. I have only heard from you three and grandma. Well, I don’t think that I need anything at the moment, except family pictures since I forgot those again. (he then jabbers something in spanish)

p.s. the estimated departure date for the other 2 Raleigh Elders is Sept 26.
Mine is the 28th. That is trash haha
ps.s. my toenail finally fell off!!!!!

MTC

Hola,

The mtc hasn’t changed a bit since December. The only difference is a different branch and a different companion. I am in Branch 19 and in an awesome district. I don’t like this branch as much as my last one because the comradere isn’t here. i feel there isn’t as much love as in my last one.

In December, we used to sing and pray every night and get acquainted. Here they just stay in their rooms or talk with their friends. The branch doesn’t seem welcoming and it is pretty big (around 50-60 missionaries).

The cool thing about being the AP was you got to know every missionary and love them. It seems here if your from another district, you don’t really matter. Anyways just my spill on things.

Just to let you know, I’m not the DL (haha) so that is cool I don’t need that responibility. My companion E. Schriber is super cool. He is from the mouth of COttonwood canyon in SLC. He’s a good example as he stays focused most of the time. I don’t know what I would do if I got a comapnion who always messed around. E. Schrinber doesn’t know much espanol, so it’s hard to get in the habit of speaking. he is working very hard and I’m sure will get the hang of it.

Probably one of the most frusturating things right now is I’ve been at the MTC longer than most of the branch, but I’m still considered a “New” missionary. I hated going to all of the new orientation things because I already went to those. Some of the meetings, I could just tell my companion what was going to be said, and happen, and I was exactly right. I wish I could have just picked up where I left off. And Spanish is easier than Portugese and I am picking up very fast, but I still have 8 more weeks!!!!!! I’m already sick of the food. I wish I could be put in advanced class, so I can speed things up a little bit.

Well, now that I’m done with my negativity tonight, I’d like to say that the North-Carolina Raleigh is where I am supposed to go.

The one thing that I really missed was the spirit of the MTC and the happiness that comes with it. My testimony (something I’m not sure) at home, maybe even dropped a little. I can start feeling that burning feeling inside again, to preach the gospel. I just wanted to let you that I love you all. The gospel is so true.

I got a notice the other day that I have a doctors appt. scheduled for wed.
That kind of caught me off guard, but I think it just will be a check-up. Mom, I am doing fine, my incision is just normal. ;) Dad, where are the sports updates? I'’ll write later. Com Amor Elder Hardy
