Let me tell ya a little story

Growing up I was the eldest, which means the parents used me as the babysitter. I mean, babysitting, mowing, shovelling snow, and weeding the garden.. Aren’t those the reasons you have kids in the first place?

Where was I…

Oh yes, being the eldest, I was able to monopolize the television set, because I was the first one home, and due to the law of the jungle, if you were the one to turn it on, you controlled if the channel ever got changed.

Somewhere along the way, the rest of the siblings started to watch a show, a horrible little show, called “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.” To show how addicted they were, they entered into a contest and now my parents still have like five copies of the movie, all the toys, etc..

Of course, I wouldn’t let that stuff blaspheme the big TV so they would watch the small one my parents had. I would hear them screaming and making noise during the show and the same one who sent me that American Dad clip would impersinate one of the characters of the show and do a good “Magic Want, Make my monster grow!”

Unfortunately, to this day, he acts like he has a rare form of amnesia and refuses to do that impersination.

Check out about 48 seconds in for Rita Repulsa (that would be Brian) and then about 4 minutes in for everyones favorite “Dragon Zord”. Which they would all imitate as well.

Siblings.. Fill free to back me up on this..

  1. No wonder you are all so warped. And I thought I watched a lot of crazy things, like Star Trek, Flash Gordon, and Buck Rogers.

  5. Ya know, Its hard for me to believe that you DON’T like power rangers, considering your love of all things.. HR pufinstuff, land of the lost and lidsville. The production values/stories/awfulness are the SAME!

just admit it. you are a closet power ranger fan.
