Over the past week I’ve been going through highs and lows. I even went and changed the layout of the blog. I changed the name.
Eventually I changed it back again.
I even wrote two pieces about my feelings about the current state of mormon female bloggers complaining.
Twice I deleted those pieces. They just didn’t sit right.
Yesterday I went to the funeral of my friend. It was interesting. He belong to a Baptist Church. It was interesting to see how they had parts of the gospel down, but that there are still parts that they have no idea about.
Concepts of the plan of happiness. What happens when we die. What we do after we pass on. These concepts, which I take so much for granted are unknowns to them.
As I was driving back from the memorial, I reflected that the things I was getting angry about, irritated. They don’t matter.
What do we take away each day that makes us more of who we are?

Sorry about your friend. Losing someone always makes us stop and think about our blessings, and what life is all about.

I’m glad that you have the gospel and are able to put your friend’s death into some sort of perspective.

Rachel: You are Kosher. You aren’t complaining about guys. Kudos to you. When I wrote this, I wasn’t in the best of mind sets either.
