Name Droppin

In the last month or so, I noticed that there were a lot of google searches based off of my name ending up here. Not just the short version, but the “I’m a first time Mom, so I must name my child different” long version of my name. (I think this is a trait inherent in the female genes. I’ve done some scientific studies, and most Eldest children have the “Different names”. After the first, the crazy names seem to stop. I just need to know, at what point growing up do you girls decide to inflict this on your future children?)

Normally I wouldn’t mind this, but it’s occurred to me, this may be why I get so few job bites now days.

So I scrubbed the two instances that I have of my name, and google dropped the searches finally.

You three to four people who read via looking for my full name, I hope you find your way back.

And bring friends.

As long as they aren’t potential Employers.

  1. I guess I’d understand that more if I knew what your full name was, because “Chris” is pretty dang common.

Myself, I intend (if my husband goes with it) to name my children family names, like Blair. It’s my great-grandma’s maiden name, my grandpa’s middle name, and my dad’s first name. So I thought that would be a good name for a girl, except that people from our generation will think first of The Facts of Life. Oh well.

  2. Hey I thought about naming you Kristofer Kristopher, Ashley, Canyon, Tailon, Gage, Francis, Dewey, Braxton, Cheyenne, Laramie, Dallas, Gentry, Fredrick, Moroni, Helaman, Meshack, Skylar, Abinidi, Gadiantin, Damion….. but we decided that Christo*er was by far the best name and spelling. We even chose to spell it phonetically so that you could spell it. But I will admit that I do like Chris the best!!! You are a great Chris, even though it is common. You could change your name, my sister did or you could change the spelling.
