I know.
I’ve said it.
I’m a geek. But I geek out in so many cases.
I might as well have been in Vegas, wearing a bright Hawaiian shirt, Khaki shorts, black socks and sandals.
Oh, wait, I was. Did I mention I had a camera as well?
So, I get into town. I grab me some In-N-Out
Oh, look at that greasy burger goodness. Whenever I got this close to the old mission, I have to indulge.
The convention is *right* next to the Hilton (where I was sure my old High School friend was.) I get back to my truck, and the porn peddlers had already been there.
I head over to my digs. I got the high class digs. Across from the Porn, across from the condemned buildings, and most importantly, across from the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino
Next day, it was off to training. I know you can’t see it here in this photo, but there were a lot of pasty, white legs. Oh, and I took this photo of my leg.
On.. Purpose.. My leg is actually very photogenic…
There were free backpacks given out, and you’ll notice a pattern. Geeks love free stuff.
Later that night, was the welcome party! Meaning, free toys, free t-shirts, and most importantly, FREE BEER!
I watched people guzzle, and guzzle, and guzzle.
Did I mention they were guzzling?
But who am I to complain, I got free SUSHI (I love me some Sushi). Much free food was handed out, and many a pasty white leg were endured.

Here is my request: The “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” book quickly moves its way from “reading in the future” to “currently reading”.
…I’m just sayin’

Oh, other random thought (which seem to be the only kind of thoughts at 3 a.m.):
So. I notice you enjoy Brian Regan, Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg, and Eric. And because every one of these guys are on my iTunes I assume we have similar senses of humor–therefore, I have a few suggestions of comics for you to check out:
Dat Phan
Gabriel Iglesias
Greg Behrendt
Kevin James
and
Mike Birbiglia
If you don’t love them…umm…it’s not my fault.

Susannah,
What, the Khaki shorts no good? I think I may have some Cargo shorts around.. I think.. I think there is a fine line between being Metro, and being a stinky male. I just haven’t found that line
And I’ll have to check out the comedians. Have you heard of Pablo Fransisco? He cracks me up, and Stephen Lynch. I like to laugh.
I’ll be seeing Brian at a comedy club in August.
kat: I dunno. I was at the king of all pastey white legs conventions. I just don’t know if Costo can explain the horror I went through.

I’m jealous you are seeing Brian!
Khaki shorts are the least of your problems
hahaha. Do me a favor, just one favor: khaki pants, polo shirt, brown shoes. Put some product in your hair. Strut about a bit knowing you look much better than any guy in a Hawaiian shirt and black socks.
Haha.
