On the way to meet with G&C at the California Pizza kitchen my family was asking me about what happened when I was conducting and I told them it was Church Confidential.
And I realized that was the perfect Rock Band name!
“Church Confidential” - I call dibs on that name. I just need the band now…

Well, I’ve made it to SLC, Utah. I am chillin at my mission presidents house, the ever awesome G. Marsden Blanch (And I just love this photo of him)
.
I am just borrowing their net connection, and a bed of theirs. I am also planning on using thier workout room. They are good people.
On the long trip to Utah, I heard an old favorite of mine, Baby Seat By The Barenaked Ladies. In it, they say:
Now we’re living somewhere else
We keep opinions to ourselves
But still we seek a sneaky peek at heaven
When the working week defeats us
If you think growing up is tough
Then you’ve just not grown enough, baby
You can’t live your life in the baby seat
You’ve got to stand on your own
Don’t admit defeat
You can’t live your life in the baby seat
You’ve got to stand on your own
Don’t admit defeat
I like those lyrics, and in a very big way, I’ve been taking myself out of my comfort zone, my “Baby Seat”. Scary, but fun at the same time.
See, I’m slowly getting away from my “Avril Lavigne” Mood

Well, here I am. I should be packing. Right now, I should be packing. Clothes should be folded (since it’s known that us Bachelors don’t fold laundry), bags should be folded. Xbox’s should be prep’d for a drive, and I need to get all my over-engineered list of stuff packed.
I’m procrastinating again.
Why?
I don’t rightly know.
Did some Home Teaching tonight. The nice thing about home teaching in a singles ward, is you get some cuties. I have one, and had fun flirting with her.
At work as I was listening to my music, I heard some apropos music for my mood lately.
For my YSA branch/the girls and the backstabing that goes on:
Meredith Wilson/Pick a Little
Refrain}
Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little
Cheep cheep cheep, talk a lot, pick a little more
{Three times}
Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little
Cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep
Then Guster/Fa Fa
When you look in the mirror, wish you were somebody else
Just a perfect reflection, you and no one else
Minutes run into hours, hours run into days
You’re still waiting for someone who never ever came
Fa Fa-Fa Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa
Never be the same again
Fa Fa-Fa Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa
Never be the same again
And last of all, my guilty pleasure Ashlee Simpson/Autobiography
Got stains on my t-shirt and I’m the biggest flirt
Right now I’m solo, but that will be changing eventually, oh
Got bruises on my heart and sometimes I get dark
If you want my auto, want my autobiography
Baby, just ask me
Well, read into it what you will, I need to go pack.

Spent today doing the work thang. I managed to get through the day with a long meeting, another long meeting next week is coming up. Other than that, I got some new speakers for my truck (Polk speakers) My roomie was trying to convince me to put a DVD player in my truck.
I’m tempted.
Put the speakers in the truck. Then I met up with Brian And went to the Village Inn. The waitress didn’t even have to ask what I wanted, she got my order right the first time. I think I need to go to a new restaruant, and get new food.
Other than that, I have added Adsense google adds to this site (And the one I will be debuting sometime soon). I noticed that Wordpress has released the much hububed Wordpress 1.5. This site will probably me moving over to it sometime soon.
Other than that, I am procrastinating my exersize, so I must bid you farwell!

Ah.. The Beasties.
Anyways, I the singles branch had a “Relief Society Appreciation” Dinner last night that tied in with Valentines day. The Elders took care of most of the food, acted like the wait staff, and talked with the girls. I flirted with one for a while.
It was nice. It was fun. For all the heartache/confusion/melodrama that they cause, I like to be around girls!
I guess God knew what he was doing when he created us. It was a good time, and I’ll be asking one of the girls out when I get back from Utar.
I thought I’d also put out a call for single LDS(Mormon) Women.
Me: Bachelor, Good guy, currently second councilour in singles branch (trying to get out of that calling one way or another), I collect things. Belt buckles, pinball machines, computers. I enjoy humor and tease. I am a BNL fanantic, I like BFS recently. I do photography, I make animal ballons, I am somewhat goofy. I was and am a geek. I have a firm testimony of the Atonement, of the Book of Mormon, of prayer, and of revelation. My two mottos are “There’s just not enough time to “x” (be angry, hold grudges, etc).” and “I’m just livin it one day at a time”. Recently I dropped almost 90 lbs, so if I put my mind to something, I can accomplish it.
You: Well, I need to find you cute, but I have yet to figure out what one thing makes a girl cute to me. Ask my friends! My tastes go all over the place. You need to enjoy my humor (well, at least act like it
). Not act to embarassed to be near me when I am acting goofy, be honest with me, help me grow, be willing to have fun, and not be judgemental, catty, or way to melodramatic (I know, girls are melodramatic). Need to have a testimony, and a firm desire to be active in the Church and know why you are there.
Well, last time I put something like this on the net, I got a girlfriend like Six months later, so now I figure, I just have to sit back and wait another six months and should have another nice honey!

In my recovering from the breakup with Star I induldged myself in another pinball purchase. Went to the local op/Computer center, and got a swingin deal on a Johnny Mnemonic, so I bought it. I a lso got en old EM game as well. Ah, my hobby/addiction. Take a look at the Pins or the warehouse where I picked the pin up (lots of vids). Brought Tyson along for muscle. Photos below.

Well, I continue to work on the Fish Tales pinball machine that I got from the Op in Rhode Island. This Pin was in sad, sad shape. It had an ok playfield (with lots and lots of mylar on it), but as I watched the Delivery guys take it out of the NAVL Semi, I was shocked to see that the back box was extremly water damaged.
The sides were pretty faded as well.
So I proceeded to finish up any playfield work I could do. I added a decal that I purchased from Treasure Cove
After the decal was placed on the playfield, I let the pin sit in the game room until I found out that a coworker liked to do woodworking for his hobby. After talking/buttering him up, we took the Fish Tales to his house. Below you can see some of the damage to the cabinet. The wood where the legs were, was pretty badly ripped into. The cabinet itself had been glued, then he used long wood screws to attempt to hold the cab together. Needless to say, I tiewrapped the cab because I was afraid it would just fall apart.
Next came the task of taking it all apart. This meant taking a *LOT* of Digital Photos, so that I can hopefully put this jigsaw back together again.
First off, my coworker decided that it would be wise just to recreate the backbox (goodbye yellow stenciling on the back!). So I started the process of pulling out the circuitboards.
Now it was time to start tracking where all the ground braid was, so that I knew where to place it in the new head.
It was then time to take the Fish off of the Topper. I then spotted the damage to the fish’s tail. If any of you know how to fix the damage, or have a good condition fish, please, let me know
(anyone notice all the rust on this game?)
Then off went the lights out of the backbox.
Then we took off to Home Depot for some parts and some wood. Then it was time to dismantle the old backbox.
My coworker was measuring the parts, and started on the work to recreate the backbox.
Well, the work was done, and the new backbox was spraypainted. We then started to put the pieces back together to see if it would fit!
I’d like to give a big thanks to Bryan Kelly for letting me “borrow” some new ground strip, alas one day I hope to be a CARGPB someday
Anyways, we then put all the ground brad back into the backbox, all the electronics, and got it all looking nice and pretty for the eventually decal application (that will be part three of the restoration)
It was now time to work on the cabinet. Once again, you can *never* take to few pictures. I just spent most of the time taking the wiring/boards out. (notice how dirty it is in this cabinet.)
Now it’s time to repair the cabinet itself, rip off the old decal, and put on the new. (oh, and if you are wondering what we are taking out of the bottom of the cabinet, somehow (I’m not surprised) a wood screw got stuck inbetween the side of the cabinet and the bottom panel.
Once again, I’d like to thank all of RGP, Bryan K. and my coworker, Kurt Schlagel for helping get this pin looking like it has life in it
